Promoting domestic tourism has been one of the core cultural initiatives led by Lamasat. Through this initiative dozens of art exhibitions were organized in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Antiquities aiming to connect visual art with Egypt’s historical and touristic destinations.
The exhibitions were held across multiple cities including Cairo in heritage and historical locations as well as Sharm El Sheikh Taba Hurghada Dahab Aswan and Luxor. Each exhibition transformed its location into an open cultural space where art and place interacted naturally.
The initiative was built on the belief that visual art is a powerful tool for cultural activation. By presenting art within touristic and historical settings the exhibitions encouraged local audiences to rediscover Egyptian cities through a cultural lens not only as destinations for leisure but as living spaces for creativity and identity.
This integration between visual art and domestic tourism created a sustainable cultural experience. It supported local tourism movement strengthened community engagement and highlighted the richness of Egypt’s heritage through contemporary artistic expression.
Through this initiative Lamasat positioned art as a bridge between culture and tourism affirming that promoting tourism can begin with culture and that visual art has the ability to revive places reconnect people with their cities and celebrate national identity.
